Your writing is breathtakingly beautiful, Annie. I have experienced these profound losses also, and I appreciate hearing how others are coping, so thank you!
Sometimes those losses just feel so big, and me so small. So thank you for leaving this comment, it's good to know I'm not alone coping with loss. I was thinking of you on my walk a few days back and wondering how you've been, as it's been a while. Hope you are hanging on out there, and not letting the crazy and cruelty of our current world get to you too much.
oh, Annie, I am sorry for your loss. What a beautiful way to first comfort your friend, and now to remember her. I think nature helps us process loss, giving us space to grieve while reminding us that life is still so achingly beautiful. Hugs, my friend.
Thank you, Alissa. I know you know loss, more than many of us, and still you’ve built an amazing life, which inspires me when I need a little “look out there at someone living their best life” pick-me-up <3
I'm so sorry to read of your loss. Just this week I was going through papers and printouts that have piled up and found printouts of all the messages I received after Ralph died. I reread them all, and was glad I printed them back then because my saved copy of the Facebook posts was missing comments from anyone who has left Facebook completely, like you. Memories are so important, and I hope the memories of your friend bring you comfort.
Thank you, Tricia. I remember the cards my dad got after my mom died, he saved them and looked through them every so often, until he died 7 years later. Glad you printed things out so you have them (our digital age doesn’t do cards as much as the older generation!).

Thank you, it is important to remember life’s fragility and the loved ones in the great beyond who are never far from our hearts.
Beautiful tribute, Annie, for all those you’ve lost.
Such a beautiful tribute - So, so sorry for your loss.

So very sorry you’ve lost someone special to you. Sending hugs.
Life is so fragile. Take care of yourself.
You, too, Luanne.

I have cards too! I know lots of people from the older generation that still do cards.
